Hi All,Wow, can you believe it,

here I am again 3 times in one day.

Just making up for my Lackadaizical time Ive been having over the holidays.

I had to look that word up, seeing I did not know how to spell it, so maybe Im not as lackadaizical as I think, LOL.

These, as you can see are pics of my Craft /ala sometimes Bedroom where I spend a lot of my time, not that it is always as tidy as when I get in there and get working and then have to leave it, and never seem to get back to it, well you know what I mean. Plus everytime I'm on a project, I find I have stuff (equipement) all over the house as well.

I'm glad I got to it, it always makes me feel better when I can start off again with everything in its place.

I know there are people who never mind how their surroundings look, but I have never been like that and can only stand it for so long.

A true artist is one who works from the heart, doesnt see what's around them, thinking of the art first. But NO I have to have everything tidy behind me, then do my art/ craft. Funny that.

So here's to another year of fun and craft and blogs and meeting new people

Fnding New Things

Hi all, well don't faint, I have found my way back here.

As my title says Finding New Things is my passion, and so that is where I always am. Blogging into every other blog that I know of, Nosy me!, but I find some wonderful and amazing things. People are so clever and original, makes me wonder if I should just stick to reading about it all and no do LOL. Still I have to do my 2 cents worth and try. Sometimes I succeed and some times I dont.

We should not get dishearted, just move on. The more you do a thing , the more you improve.

Like when I watch my Cindy Leitz Videos.

Once a week I receive a Polymer Clay lesson Tutorial, from Cindy.

I have a go at making what is there, some times it goes well, sometimes no.

Nothing to do with Cindy as her teaching and clarity of techniques and simple instructions are so good, anyone would be able to follow.

Mainly, I get there, sometimes need to put a bit more effort into it.

So that is what I mean by, the more you try the more you improve.

Above is a picture of my effort fr0m the latest video lesson, An Interchangeable Pendant, good for using up all the odd (ODD?!!) beads you may have around.

As I am not a wire person, I did find this stretched my capablities, but with determination and sitting and doing it I feel I got there, and like my efforts,so

never be disheartened

by what you do, or dont do, its bound to come out well in the end,and there is always a use for it, especially in Polymer clay.

A lot of my other Poly work has been inspired by Cindy, take a look back at my Book beads, Ive been makig them in droves since that video.

I also do art dolls and have made quite a few from some georgeous patterns some of which are from Michelle Munzone patterns , so here is a link to see her work. All inspiring.

Finding new things

Hi all, here I am for another day in my blog
Amazing I am here so soon again.
Well soon for me.
I was blogging around, which I like to do, and came across one blog I follow. who had just put in pics of some lovely Hydrangeas she had. I love Hydrangeas and all the colours they come in, so here is a pic I keep in my craft room.
It may not be as good as the ones seen on that blog, but they remind me of all the lovely Hydrangeas I have seen in my life time.
Flowers to me are great healers, and give great joy, and it is a marvel to me how they all come about.
When you see some colours and styles and shapes you can only marvel at the how and the why of flowers
Lifes a bit like that too.
When we know what we have done and seen, and been thru in life, we can only marvel at the how and why of it too.
Lives that have been so tragic and unyeilding, for people who have either been in such pain or lost loved ones or even been thru bad experiences to be able to come out the other side and learn to live a fulfilling and positve life is like the flowers a blossoming, only to be marveled at .
Yes Flowers are so positve.
You see a very small flower putting its head up between the cracks on a road or amongst the weeds. that is how I see life.
I too have had my bad experiences and when I look back see only that it all enhanced my character as to where I am today.
Those experiences will always be with us , but it is whether or not we rise above them all and go on to live a happy and creative life is whether we win, or the demons do.
So I have learnt to be very positive and put my head up thru the cracks and
Soar above it all ,
like a beautiful flower
basking in the sun.
Hey thats me, LOL basking in the Sunlight of my life. You can do that too.
Let all the demons go, and be positve like the flowers.
Lifes like that too, it will drag you down or elevate you.
The choice is yours
So everyone, I hope I am not sounding too much like a sermon, dont mean to. just want you to see what I see in life and try hard not to let it get to you.
Think of the flowers and the butterflies, how they show their glorious colours and styles, and Soar away to a great positive New Year

Hi all

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I am lagging behind by not starting my blogging as quickly as some others.
Of course I have been reading all the great things that have been said and done already for the New Year even tho it is only a few days old.
I did have a lovely Christmas time when all went as planned. That is what I like.
when I say I am going to do something and it comes off as planned.
The flower pics are what I brought myself on my B/Day. One pic in my lounge to look at in the daytime and one pic when I took them into my B/room, to wake up to see them.
They put a smile on my face. I love yellow flowers, and to be able to buy yourself some lovely flowers is always a good thing, I think! You can click on to enlarge, you may even smell them, the power of suggestion is at home here!!
Yes I had one of those already this year, a B/Day, so on I go on the wrong end of the 70's , I cant believe it. No, maybe it is the good side, as I'm still here, in great health, and skitting around still wanting know and learn, taking great interest in everything I see on the Internet, a wonderful place to play.! Never lonely or bored with this G/Ma's Toy.!!
Kiddies have their dolls and fireengines I have my computer and computer friends ,
so life is good.
Now you know, and I'm sure you 'll give me some leaway when I make mistakes LOL, as I do have those Senior moments too!!
I am happy with my age, because you can look back on great memories, and great mistakes ?, We all make those, wouldn't be human if we didn't, but it is when we can acknowledge those mistakes and learn from them and go on to be able to live a nice life, have compassion for others, do good things and help where help is needed with grace and kindness.
I think Kindness to others is what the world needs so much of. Here in blogland we find that all the time., when we read a post and support others and when others support us and we know we are not alone. "No man is an Island" so they say and it is so true.
We all need support, and so when you have a problem it is better shared,
Another saying, "A problem shared is a problem halved"
So don't keep things to yourself.
We are all here for you.
So it is back to business for another year.A few things have popped their heads up already, and altho I havent got anything finished , I am working on some things.
Firstly am trying to keep my craft room tidy!"oh yes you may say", a great resolution, as I can get very untidy, and don't have to keep to this Res, as we never do, do we.
So that's what I like to make Resolutions I know I cant keep LOl, Funny!!!
I am awestruck by the people who have already done so much from day one of this year.
I can only conclude that if you are in a cold climate it is easier to work in, than when you live in a very warm climate, which makes you lethargic and more about sitting around waiting for the heat to break and not feeling like work.
Ah well there's always another day.
But with those B/day seeming even closer maybe not as many as you'd like Lol!

I'm trying

Here are my latest book beads, First on the left are the completed ones , the centre pic is the cane one is made from, and on the right is the back of the little books. they are only about an inch square so you see are small and dainty.
Well as now is a busy time and each day is getting closer to that fabulous time Christmas I have to go and get on with it.
So many people say they dont like Christmas and that it is all a big humbug, just like Scrooge said. Bur think of it, yes it is a chaotic time, but when the day is actually here it's all worth it.
It is a magical time, whether you take the religeous meaning of it or whether it is a time for family and giving, and that is what I like best of all ,the Giving , giving of your self as to making a lovely time for family or just sitting on your own giving yourself a holiday and being able to sit and contemplate what a year it has been. This year I am lucky enough to have a D and a G/ D visit me So what a time we will have. My D has not been here in 6years so am a lucky little elf. My other family will see me next year when I go to them for my G/G Sons 1st Birthday. so what a lot I have to look forward to I am a lucky lady.
I'm sure you will all find your lucky time now it is nearly Christmas, and if not think of all the world where we are so lucky to be part of, and free to be who we are.

Hi all dont faint here I am,have been thinking about this for weeks but never seem to find the time to be here. thanks to all the good followers who think enough of my blog to take a look.

Like all ,at the moment for me the days up to Christmas are just rushing by and I cant seem to get enough done .

The picture above is of some of us at our doll club. I "pinched" this pic off another site Dollycloth my friend Rita who is a member and is always full of fun and of course the best Quilter and doll maker you ever could see.

Her blog is in the list at the side of this blog DOLLYCLOTH like I said.

BTW she's not in this pic having taken it of course, but that is me in the red on the left.

We had a lovely party that day, no work got done of course.

But all is not lost, I have been following my Cindy Videos and here is what I have come up with of late. I have made more little bead books as Cindy calls them. In fact I cant stop making them and they are becoming real little keepsakes for my friends. so here is some more. Made differently this time with canes I have made with the Extruder.
